Built with Lucas ter Hall (lucas@terhall.com)

Open source 3D printer:

We chose Rostock model due to the impression of the Delta system to control the movement, and the increased height dimension, compared to other printers.

The social cave

We were invited to design a small, interactive installation that would be encountered by hundreds of thousands of people, most of whom are strangers to each other. In response, we have proposed the Social Cave, a typology that returns to the beginnings of our civilization. The Cave will blend the frenzied excitement of virtual connectivity’s power and speed with the calm of its form and materiality, a parametric aggregation of 100% recycled and 100% recyclable foam cubes. The barrier wall separating the two enclosures within the Cave ensures that visitors inhabiting each of those spaces are initially concealed from each other. The presence of a visitor in the opposite space is revealed only through an abstracted projection capturing his movements. With NSU, GSAPP.

Port station

Draft submitted in September 2009 pending the competition held bythe Algerian port of Oran. The project aims to solve an endemic problem faced by passengers on boats that depart from Oran, that is, very long waits and queues to board, very reduced spaces, and long waiting time for those traveling by car. Combining all these concepts, what kind of space would suit better? An idea came to our minds: the shade of a beach in front of a Mediterranean forest, a place where we do not mind being around. The architecture defines a basic idea: a permeable cover, light and shadow screened, as those reprentations by the great painter Sorolla, to permit the movement of wind while we bathed in light.

A group of awake dreamers made a meeting at Palma de Mallorca, lead by Juan Herreros and worked together in "island city. We worked for the ministry of energy, trying to find out solutions to the energy problems that Balear islands have, with special emphasis on Mallorca. Many things grew up and some others just were borned. They were edited in a book called "isla ciudad". But what i will always remember, besides the people i met, is T.Sarraceno made an aerostatic ballon from rubbish bags, following Fuller schemes. Two weeks workshop in Mallorca, the main island from the Balears (Spain). Lead by Juan Herreros, and his crew of teachers, and special participation of Peter Cook.A book was edited "Isla Ciudad: Arquitectura Y Energía En Mallorca" ISBN: 978-84-932557-7-0

2012

Group work with Erald Varaku, Ahmed Abbas Momin, Meysam Foolady and Abbas Riazi, under the supervision of Michela Turrin, Pirouz Nourian and Ioannis Chatzikonstantinou. The project was framed as performed based design, and tasks were divided among the group. My rol as IT consisted in coordinate that the algorithms could be joined at the end. Besides that I linked Grasshopper with GSA for life-feed structure analysis. The overall number of elements in the structural design slow down the interaction between these two programs. This was overcome with the use of Karamba as structure analysis plugin.

Evolutionary solver galapagos linking Karamba structure calculation plugin with Rhino model. The goal was to reshape the design while studying the structural consequences, aiming for optimal values. The big number of elements in this case, made it difficult for GSA program, but it worked smooth with Karamba.I'm a paragraph. Click here to add your own text and edit me. I’m a great place for you to tell a story and let your users know a little more about you.
