JAVIER I. ZARATIEGUI
About me
I am spanish architect since 2009. Currently looking for a new placement that fulfills my life and work expectations. I am dynamic, hard worker and passionate.
Recently I have obtained two more master degrees from TUDelft and METU in Computational Design and Fabrication Technologies in Architecture.
Looking for "THE" job
I am looking for a job to challenge my skills on a daily basis.
Would like to become a team player and work and learn from each other.
I am interested in digital fabrication, CNC, 3D printers, and it would be perfect to put this knowledge into architectural practice.
I tent to automatizate any work in my hands, which is an active way to prevent me from doing repetitive tasks.
I feel comfortable with lots of software, and I can learn quick too, but since 2008 Rhino and Grasshopper (later) are my favourites for modelling. I have tried some programming languages, but my knowledge is limited. It would be wonderfull if I can improve this too while working with you.
Besides, I have also IT skills, which can be helpful sometimes.

The focus of the work is to develop innovative urban and architectural organisms to respond to the complexity of today’s city. Through the research of Adaptable Components she engages the idea of architectural adaptation to different conditions: historical, conceptual, material, economical and cultural environments.
I worked with her at GSAPP Columbia University and I learnt many things from her, from technical to client management. To sum up: you should always have fun.
